The day I looked in the mirror and didn't recognize the person reflected back at me was the day that I decided it was time to take action on my body. I sought out a workout program that also worked with my crazy schedule as a mom with a full-time job, which is not very many programs. 1 More Rep offered a late night boot camp that was perfect. I signed up and eagerly attended my first class, and instantly saw why people came to 1 More Rep, and never left. Every night is something different, and every night you work out a new area on your body. Also, the "next morning", something new is sore! We do weight training, we do cardio, we run, we do aerobics, we literally do it all, and we all keep coming back! My body has drastically changed since I started with 1 More Rep, I am stronger, I am in shape, and I am able to look in the mirror and be confident at what is there.

Thank you, Dwayne and 1 More Rep for reminding me what it feels like to be in shape and PROUD OF IT!!!

In August of 2009 I was at my largest weight, somewhere around 250 lbs. I’m also 5’5″ so that’s big! My brother informed me that he needed a kidney transplant at this time and without hesitation I said I would get tested to see if I’m a match. I called right away and the first questions they asked were, how old are you, what is your height, and how much do you weigh? So I answer the questions and before proceeding to anything else they told I weighed too much too donate my kidney. A huge punch to the stomach. I couldn’t believe you could be too fat to save someone’s life. That was my wake up call. I immediately gave the “very embarrassing” news to my brother and then proceeded to do something about changing my life. So, I simply began with just walking everyday and cutting back on my snacking and eating healthier. By November of 2009 I had lost enough weight to donate that kidney to my brother. From there I couldn’t stop.

Fast forward to January 2012, a good friend of mine decided for her bachelorette party she wanted to do this obstacle course 5k race called the Rugged Maniac. I knew I would need to get in better shape than what I was. For the last 2 years I was really only walking to burn calories. I needed something to whip my butt into shape. So I found 1 More Rep. I thought, this is what I need to get myself ready for this race. So, April 2012 I went to my first boot camp class and I haven’t looked back since. I got sucked in right away. I love how much energy I have now, the confidence I gained and not to mention the results I’ve achieved. I have lost in the neighborhood of 100 lbs since 2009. I still have a little ways to go but I’m beginning to see the light at the end of the tunnel. I’m happy to say the obstacle race I entered at the end of August went really well and I also finished my 1st half marathon race too.

Thank you Dwayne!!!

I made a list of those people who have had a profound impact on my life over the past year and you made the list. I know boot camp is only part of what you do but it has been a game changer for me. I have developed a routine, become stronger and I am more motivated to keep going and do more. You are a great leader and very inspiring. You have a quiet strength where you encourage me to push myself physically and not give up. There are times I silently curse you for making me do things I do not want to do but, I have come to realize that feeling uncomfortable has help me to grow.

Thank you for this!

Personal training done in a group setting. All equipment provided. Tough classes, great instructors who provide individual attention to your specific needs with a different workout each day.
The climb classes are a great way to get your cardio workout in and it's easy on the joints.

This is the first workout that I have stuck with consistently. For me, it started with the music. Dwayne always plays a mix of high-energy hip pop, pop or other fun mixes.

The second thing that really stuck with me, was the variety. Every day is a different workout. I definitely get bored with the same routine and Dwayne mixes it up a lot.

Lastly, Dwayne does not hesitate to give helpful alternatives to each exercise. If you have any problem areas, he will not judge you for taking care of those areas but still wants you to come and get a good workout.

It also helps that he's just a really nice guy1

I've been going to 1 More Rep for almost 6 years, through two pregnancies, and I still love it. I never get bored and it's easy to modify every workout to make it easier or more challenging, depending on your fitness level. Highly recommend it!

Hi Dwayne,

Thought you'd like to know: I ran a 5K race today (8-11-13) and am happy to report that I ran almost a minute faster than I did at the same race last year despite the fact that I'm running much LESS often than I was last year. I dropped my pace from 7:50 to 7:33 miles. While I'd hoped I could beat last year's time, I wasn't sure since I've only been running 1-2 days/week compared to 4-5 days/week last year.

I have always run as my primary form of exercise, sometimes with a little strength training mixed in. Doing your boot camp class is the most consistent strength work I've ever done and it's definitely making a difference! I feel stronger and apparently I am faster!

Thank you!
